B5 edit-pass batch of the ditc manuals-v2 edit-pass program.

What changed

  • 510-previews: topic headings to imperative how-to form; the 24-hour default expiry named in the opening so the page pays off early; vendor name (git) once in parentheses; the body-line-45 first command left in place per the audit note. Frontmatter added.
  • 610-secrets: reassurance strikes ("a mistake costs nothing", "carry on with the rest") with the adjacent mechanism sentences kept; topic headings to the reader's job (per-app isolation now carries its own heading); "description sheet" → the manifest everywhere (banned synonym, AUTHORING §1); the write-only rule, per-app isolation, and irrecoverability kept prominent. Frontmatter added.
  • 710-adopt: topic headings to imperatives; the --dry-run payoff moved into the opening; reassurance strikes carry the mechanism ("adopting twice writes nothing", "a fix here edits a file, never undoes a deploy"); manifest sweep including the figure text. Frontmatter added.
  • All three: doc_type: guide, requires:, introduces:, verified: ditc@2.4.4. The requires lists carry the page-map parents plus the CONCEPT-gate closure — the intermediate pages (210–430) declare no frontmatter yet, so each list names the pages that define the terms its prose uses (verified: check-lockstep 0 fail).
  • Glossary: no changes needed — preview, branch, secret, adopt already carry defined_in on these pages.

Gates (all green)

  • build-docs.py --no-coverage --draft: exit 0
  • check-prose.py --manual ditc: clean
  • check-lockstep.py --manual ditc --synthesize: exit 0 (0 fail, 12 warn — the three FRESHNESS warns cleared by verified:)
  • build-docs.py --draft: exit 0
  • armada check-prose.sh per page: 510, 610, 710 all exit 0 (610/710 failed at baseline on opinion_floor + ttfuf; both resolve under doc_type: guide + restructured openings; ttfuf payoff now 8 / 6 / 9)

510: topic headings to imperatives; the 24h default expiry named in the
opening; git named once in parentheses. 610: 'a mistake costs nothing' and
'carry on with the rest' struck with the mechanism sentences kept; topic
headings to the reader's job; 'description sheet' → the manifest everywhere;
write-only rule, per-app box, and irrecoverability kept prominent. 710:
topic headings to imperatives; dry-run payoff moved into the opening;
reassurance strikes carry the mechanism ('writes nothing', 'edits a file,
never undoes a deploy'); manifest sweep including the figure. All three:
doc_type/requires/introduces frontmatter per the page map (requires lists
carry the CONCEPT-gate closure the intermediate pages do not declare yet),
verified: ditc@2.4.4.
